Frequently asked questions
Where is my data stored? Can you recover it?
All your data — journal entries, mood check-ins, session history — lives only on your phone. We have no servers and no copy of your data, which means we cannot recover it if the app is deleted or the phone is lost. Your device backup (an encrypted iPhone backup via iCloud or your computer) is the way to protect it.
Does the app need an internet connection?
No. Every feature works fully offline, including in airplane mode. The app makes no network requests at all.
Do I need an account or a subscription?
No account, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads. The app is free and everything is included.
My streak looks wrong after traveling — why?
Streaks and daily history are counted in your phone's local timezone, so a session done late at night counts for the day you actually experienced. After crossing timezones, "today" follows your phone's clock. If something still looks off, email us with the dates involved and we'll investigate.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual journal entries and check-ins inside the app. To erase everything, delete the app from your phone — all data is removed with it, because nothing is stored anywhere else.
How do I request a refund?
Everstill is free and has no purchases, so there is nothing to refund. If that ever changes, purchases would be handled by Apple, and refunds requested through reportaproblem.apple.com.
Is Everstill medical or mental-health treatment?
No. Everstill is for general relaxation and wellbeing and is not a substitute for professional care. If you're in crisis in the United States, call 911, or call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Can you add a feature I want?
Maybe! Email us. We read every suggestion, and several bundled sessions exist because someone asked.
