Pawdex is made by Furstenburg Digital LLC, a small team of dog lovers who built this app because we wanted it for our own dogs. We designed it from day one to keep your data exactly where it belongs: on your phone.
This Privacy Policy is short and written in plain language because we don't have anything complicated to hide.
We don't collect, store, see, sell, or share your data. None of it. Pawdex runs entirely on your device. We don't operate any servers, databases, or analytics systems that receive information from the app. If you stopped using Pawdex tomorrow, there would be nothing on our end to delete because nothing is ever sent to us.
When you use Pawdex, the app saves the information you enter so you can come back to it later. This includes:
All of this is stored locally on your phone using standard iOS and Android storage mechanisms. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else. You can export this data at any time from the Settings screen, and you can delete it at any time by removing entries in the app or by deleting Pawdex from your device.
To be specific, Pawdex does not collect:
Pawdex does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, marketing, or tracking SDKs. We are not part of any data exchange, ad network, or cross-app tracking system.
Some features need your permission to work. When you grant a permission, the data stays on your device.
You can deny or revoke these permissions at any time in your phone's Settings. The app will continue to work — minus the specific feature that needs the permission.
Pawdex is free and stays free. If you choose to leave an optional tip to support development, that purchase is processed by your phone's app store or, on the web, by a payment provider — not by us directly:
Tipping is completely optional. Nothing in Pawdex is locked, gated, or changed based on whether you tip.
When you download Pawdex from the App Store or Google Play, Apple and Google may share aggregate, anonymized information with us — such as total downloads, country of download, crash counts, and average star rating. We cannot identify any individual user from this information. Receiving these aggregated reports is standard for every app distributed through these stores and is not something we can opt out of. Apple's and Google's collection of this data is governed by their respective privacy policies.
Pawdex is intended for adult dog owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. Because Pawdex collects no data of any kind, this policy applies equally to all users regardless of age.
Pawdex is available worldwide. Because we collect no data, there are no international data transfers involved in your use of Pawdex. Any data stored locally on your device is governed by the privacy and security protections of your device's operating system.
Because Pawdex doesn't collect your data, there is nothing on our end for you to access, correct, download, restrict, or delete. The data exists entirely on your device, and you have complete control over it:
If you have questions about how to do any of these things, email us at support@furstenburgdigital.com.
This policy is written to comply with major privacy regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable laws. Because Pawdex collects no personal information, most of the rights granted under these laws — such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data — do not apply in practice, as there is no data on our end to act on. If you have questions about how a specific law applies to your use of Pawdex, please contact us.
If we make material changes to this policy — for example, when we add cloud sync features in a future version — we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top and post the new policy at this URL. For significant changes, we will also notify users inside the app on the next launch after the change takes effect.
