Emberly 1.0 · a private period tracker for iPhone
Need help? Email support@furstenburgdigital.com. A human reads every message and we typically reply within two business days. Because your data lives only on your phone, we can't see your account or logs; there are none. So tell us what you tapped and what happened, and we'll figure it out together.
Common questions
How do I back up my data?
Settings → "Back up my data". The share sheet opens; choose "Save to Files" and pick iCloud Drive to keep a copy in your own cloud, or anywhere else you prefer. The backup is a single file you control.
How do I restore a backup, or move to a new iPhone?
Settings → "Restore from backup", then pick your backup file (from iCloud Drive or wherever you saved it). Restoring replaces the data currently in the app, and the app tells you exactly what it found in the file before you confirm.
I bought the unlock. How do I get it on another device?
Settings → "Restore Purchases" on the other device, signed into the same Apple account. Your purchase is tied to that account, not to one phone.
How does the free trial work?
The first 30 days include every feature. When the trial ends, the app asks for the one-time $9.99 unlock. Your data is untouched either way, and "Back up my data" keeps working even if you don't purchase.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple: go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and select the purchase. Apple makes the decision under their policies.
My reminders aren't showing up.
Check two switches: Settings → Reminders inside Emberly, and your iPhone's Settings → Notifications → Emberly. Reminders are scheduled on your phone from your predicted dates, so they also shift automatically when you log a new period.
Can notifications avoid mentioning periods on my lock screen?
They already do. Discreet wording is the default. If you'd rather see the details at a glance, turn "Discreet wording" off in Settings → Reminders.
I forgot my PIN.
For privacy reasons there's no recovery back door: without the PIN (or Face ID, if you enabled it), the data can't be unlocked, and we have no way to unlock it remotely because we have no access to your device. If Face ID is enabled, use it, then change your PIN in Settings. Otherwise the only path is deleting and reinstalling the app, which erases its data; a backup made earlier can then be restored.
Does Emberly work offline?
Yes, entirely. No connection is ever required.
Is my data private?
Yes, by architecture rather than by promise: there are no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. The details are in the Privacy Policy, which is short because there's little to disclose.
